Ogun Police Unveil New Ikenne Area Command Facility, Lay Groundwork for Permanent HQ
The Ogun State Police Command has commissioned a temporary building for its Ikenne Area Command and broken ground for a permanent headquarters. Officials also toured the Ikenne Security Coordinating Centre to assess efforts at boosting policing efficiency and community safety. DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the Police Public Relations Officer, described the project as a major step in strengthening operational capacity and improving coordination across Ikenne and its environs. Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni, representing the Inspector-General of Police, commended strong community participation in the initiative. The Command highlighted the centre’s digital technology for intelligence gathering, rapid response and information sharing. It thanked the Ikenne Development Association for its support and reaffirmed its commitment to proactive policing, safeguarding lives and deepening community partnerships in Ogun State.
