Confessions Emerge After Anambra Arrests Fake Pastors

Governor Chukwuma Soludo says several suspected fake pastors are now in custody and sharing useful confessions. He spoke at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Awka during the Catholic Diocese’s All Knights Day and defended the state’s crackdown on the alleged offenders. Soludo explained that the operation aims to shield vulnerable residents from religious exploitation. He described it as a social reformation to build an Anambra free of deception and social vices. He praised the Catholic Diocese for promoting the common good and highlighted the burial law’s impact in curbing excessive funeral spending. He also approved support for the Knights’ charity visits to orphanages, urging discipline, accountability and service.
