Trump Announces Gaza Disarmament Deal, but Israel Raises Objections

US President Donald Trump says his Board of Peace has reached an agreement with Hamas, Egypt, Qatar and Turkey on the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza. Trump said the proposed deal would be implemented in phases. He said Israeli forces would withdraw as disarmament is completed, while an International Stabilization Force and a new Palestinian police force take responsibility for security in Gaza. However, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the 15-point proposal does not meet Israel's demand for Gaza's full demilitarisation. This leaves the future of the reported agreement uncertain.
