VDM Pledges to Lead Volunteers into Forest to Confront Bandits After Oyo Kidnappings

Nigerian social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has pledged to lead volunteer protesters into the bush to confront armed bandits and rescue kidnapped citizens. He made the announcement after organising Ratel Movement protests in June 2026 across Abuja and Oyo State to demand urgent government action on insecurity. The “bush protest” escalated following the mass abduction of 45 schoolchildren and their teachers in Oriire Local Government Area. Reports say one teacher was beheaded by the bandits. VDM says he will take his advocacy from social media to the streets and forests if authorities fail to act.
