29-Year-Old Sociology Graduate Found Murdered and Dumped in Abuja Canal
Blessing Moshood, a 29-year-old sociology graduate from Kogi State University, went missing after leaving home in Jikwoyi, Abuja one evening. An hour after her departure, she called to say she was returning briefly to pick up a phone charger. She never made it back. The family became alarmed when days passed without contact. Neighbours later learned of a woman’s body discovered in a canal near Jikwoyi Medical Centre. The description of the hair and clothing matched Blessing’s. Police with the Jikwoyi Division evacuated the half-naked body to a mortuary in Mararaba, Nasarawa State. Blessing’s sister confirmed the identification after viewing photographs at the station. Friends and neighbours remember her as intelligent and friendly. The FCT Police Command says investigations are ongoing and appeals for anyone with information to come forward.
