Army Rescues 13 Kidnap Victims, Kills Five Terrorists in Multi-State Operations
The Nigerian Army says troops rescued 13 kidnapped victims, neutralised five terrorists and arrested suspected gunrunners during coordinated operations across several states. In Kwara, troops and Forest Guards reportedly killed four terrorists and rescued two victims in Latan Daji, Patigi LGA. In Edo, soldiers rescued 11 travellers after responding to a kidnapping incident along the Lagos-Benin Road. A serving warrant officer was also arrested over allegations of supplying arms to kidnappers. Operations in Kogi and Plateau also led to the arrest of suspected gunrunners and drug peddlers. Troops responded to attacks on commuters, rescued an injured pastor in Bokkos, and began a manhunt for suspects linked to deadly attacks in the area.
