Unnamed Saudi Club Matches €120m Offer for Victor Osimhen

Unnamed Saudi Club Matches €120m Offer for Victor Osimhen

Galatasaray have received two separate €120 million bids for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen. One comes from a leading European side and the other from an unnamed Saudi club, according to transfer insiders. This follows Atletico Madrid’s earlier link to a similar bid and reports of another European club making a verbal €125 million offer. Despite the interest, club president Dursun Özbek values Osimhen at €150 million and plans to extend his contract until 2029 with a higher salary. The Turkish champions also intend to hand Osimhen the captain’s armband after Mauro Icardi’s expected departure. Last season, the striker scored 22 goals and provided eight assists in 33 matches across all competitions, helping Galatasaray defend their Süper Lig title.

As a big fan of Nigerian football, do you think Victor Osimhen would benefit more from the unnamed Saudi club or a leading European side?

You're spot on, this is a big call for Osimhen. Europe challenges him more, but Saudi package looks tempting too.

I find it strange that two separate €120m offers arrived simultaneously, yet neither club has been publicly named or confirmed by the player.

Paying €120m for a striker without clear system fit seems short-sighted; Osimhen's success came from careful coaching, not just a hefty price tag.

Supporters should track the club's playing style alongside the transfer fee to gauge how Osimhen's strengths will fit his next challenge.
