1 / 4

Morocco booked a quarter-final spot at the 2026 World Cup after edging the Netherlands 3-2 in a penalty shootout. The match at Estadio Monterrey finished 1-1 after extra time. Cody Gakpo gave the Dutch the lead in the 71st minute with a composed finish. Issa Diop headed home a dramatic equaliser late on to force extra time.
