Tegbe Warns No Quick Fix for Nigeria’s Power Crisis, Pledges Tough Reforms

Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe told senators that Nigeria’s electricity woes need difficult but honest reforms. He vowed to abandon past approaches and avoid empty promises. Clear milestones will be set and results must show within three months. Senators raised concerns over the fragile grid, generator cartels and vandalism. Tegbe identified gas shortages and poor grid discipline as key challenges. He stressed firm execution, compliance enforcement and market-driven tariffs to deliver real improvement.
