Atiku Seeks Probe After Unauthorised Credit Hits Private Bank Account

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has raised concerns after an unauthorised credit entered one of his private bank accounts with the narration “Contribution Electioneering Campaign.” He said neither he nor his campaign requested, approved or knew about the payment. According to him, the account details are not publicly available, raising questions about how the sender obtained them. Atiku said he has reported the matter to security agencies and relevant authorities. He called for an investigation into the transfer’s source, possible banking-data breaches and any wrongdoing involved. He added that the case raises wider concerns about the protection of Nigerians’ confidential financial information.
