Nine-year-old Chiziterem from Ukehe in Enugu State was allegedly brutalized by the woman his mother entrusted him to in Odume Obosi, Anambra State. He bears serious injuries and cannot recall his parents’ names or his home village. Youths in the community are moving to detain the guardians. Anyone who recognizes the boy or knows his family should urgently reach out to assist in reuniting him with his parents. Local authorities in Anambra and Enugu States, as well as child welfare NGOs, are called upon to intervene and ensure those responsible face justice.
