NPFL Fines Warri Wolves ₦6M, Orders Remaining Home Games Behind Closed Doors
The NPFL has fined Warri Wolves ₦6 million over fan misconduct during last weekend’s match against Plateau United. The league cited the club’s failure to secure restricted areas and prevent unauthorised access. Supporters were also charged with unsporting behaviour that delayed play by ten minutes and brought the game into disrepute. The club must identify and prosecute those responsible, then submit evidence of their actions to the league. In addition to the monetary penalty, Warri Wolves will host all remaining home fixtures this season without spectators. The club has 48 hours to appeal these sanctions.
