CAS Director General Vows Swift Resolution of AFCON 2025 Final Dispute

CAS Director General Vows Swift Resolution of AFCON 2025 Final Dispute

The Court of Arbitration for Sport’s Director General, Matthieu Reeb, says CAS is fully prepared to handle the appeal over the AFCON 2025 final decision. Senegal has challenged CAF’s move to strip them of the title after walking off the pitch. CAF awarded a 3–0 win to hosts Morocco following the incident on January 18. Reeb assured fans and teams that arbitration will be both swift and fair, with expert and independent arbitrators overseeing the process. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation also issued a statement, stressing that its aim was to uphold competition rules and not to question the teams’ performances.
