1 / 2

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State reiterated his commitment to strengthen community policing during a tour of Ikenne and Isara commands. He met with traditional rulers, local government officials and community leaders to boost intelligence-led policing and crime prevention across the Remo axis. He praised Remo Stars Football Club for using sports to empower youth and visited the palaces of the Odemo of Isara and the Ologere of Ogere to secure ongoing support for security initiatives. He also inspected the site for a new Isara command headquarters and commissioned a temporary office to bring policing closer to residents. The Commissioner witnessed the handover of a patrol vehicle donated by the Isara Growth and Prosperity Foundation, describing it as proof of the benefits of community partnership. He urged residents to remain vigilant, share credible intelligence and support the police in protecting lives and property across the state.

I no sure if just meeting community leaders go really change ground-level trust and crime rates without clear accountability for police too.
