Ondo Police Arrest Two Alleged Cult Leaders After University Clash, Seize Pistol

Police on April 11 arrested two suspected cultists in Ondo Town. The suspects, linked to Eiye and Aiye confraternities, have been identified as Nnamdi Sunday and Adegbuyi Seyi. Acting on intelligence from a community anti-crime group, officers recovered a locally made pistol at a suspected Aiye hideout in the Oka Garage area. The suspects are believed to have taken part in a violent clash on April 9 at Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo. Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the wider network, apprehend other fleeing members and recover more weapons. The Police Command calls on residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help rid the state of cultism and protect lives.
