Police Arrest Five Pakistani Nationals in Benue, Recover 35 Phones
The Benue State Police Command has arrested five Pakistani nationals in separate intelligence-led operations in Otukpo and Ugbokolo. Three of the men were arrested at Adoka Motor Park in Otukpo on August 4 while reportedly preparing to travel to Adoka village. Police said they claimed to be marketing cosmetics and mobile gadgets, but no such products were found with them. Two others were arrested at a hotel in Ugbokolo the following day. Police said 35 phones were recovered during the operations, including 34 Tecno Camon 50 Pro devices and one Infinix Hot 60. The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Makurdi. Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the purpose of their activities and movements in Benue.
