2027: COSEYL Backs Ned Nwoko’s Senate Return, Ties Bid to Anioma State Agenda
The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has endorsed Senator Ned Munir Nwoko for re-election in 2027. The group says his return to the Senate is paramount and non-negotiable for the push to create Anioma State. In a press release signed by its President General, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, COSEYL praised Nwoko’s record. It cited 31 bills and over 20 motions in two years, and highlighted his sponsorship of the Anioma State Creation Bill as a landmark step to correct long-standing imbalances against the Anioma people. COSEYL warned that opposing Nwoko’s return amounts to working against Anioma’s collective aspiration. It urged traditional rulers, community leaders, and political groups to rally behind him, calling his continued representation critical to the future of the proposed state. Nwoko represents Delta North and is known for advocacy on transparency. The endorsement signals rising grassroots momentum as the 2027 race draws closer.
