The Senate President has announced a fresh wave of defections in the National Assembly ahead of the 2027 elections. Enyinnaya Abaribe of Abia South has left the ADC to return to the Labour Party. Victor Umeh has also exited the ADC to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress, and Deputy Minority Whip Rufai Hanga moved from NNPP to the NDC.
