Tucker Carlson Apologises for Backing Trump, Warns He’ll Be ‘Tormented’ by His Role

Tucker Carlson Apologises for Backing Trump, Warns He’ll Be ‘Tormented’ by His Role

Tucker Carlson has publicly apologised for helping Donald Trump win the U.S. presidency. Speaking on his self-titled show with his brother Buckley, he admitted he campaigned, wrote speeches and misled millions of supporters, saying he will “be tormented” by that decision. The former Fox News host criticised Trump’s character and foreign policy, especially over his handling of Iran and an operation dubbed “Epic Fury.” The brothers also discussed two attempted attacks on Trump during his campaign and questioned why senior officials did not investigate more thoroughly. After the broadcast, Trump dismissed Carlson’s comments and challenged him to present them on a television network. Carlson, who has since broken with Trump over his stance on the Israel-Iran conflict, says he regrets his past support and wants to wrestle with his conscience.

What do you think Carlson really hopes to achieve by apologising now for his role in misleading millions?

Is this apology really about taking responsibility, or is he trying to salvage his reputation before things get worse?

Haha, right? His apology sounds less like honesty and more like some clever damage control.

It's interesting how he admits guilt only after the outcome, despite years spent shaping speeches and rallying support.

Sure, he apologises now, but can we trust someone who orchestrated a campaign and misled followers for so long?

Focusing on transparency going forward seems vital, maybe verifying sources before accepting any future political commentary he offers.
