Oshiomhole Alleges Senators’ Signatures Were Forged on Natasha Suspension Report
Senator Adams Oshiomhole has revealed that at least three senators had their names on the committee report endorsing Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s six-month suspension without their consent. He made the claim in an interview with a national broadcaster. Oshiomhole said some lawmakers notified him that they neither signed nor approved the report. He pointed to Senator Ireti Kingibe, who was surprised to see her name listed among the endorsers. He suggested an attendance register may have been used in place of genuine signatures. The suspension, imposed in March 2025, halted Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Senate activities and pay over alleged misconduct. Oshiomhole’s allegations could prompt calls for an independent review of the report and its procedures. The Senate leadership has not yet responded to these claims.
