Living a Life Worthy of the Gospel: Reflections on Philippians 1:27-30

This reflection invites us to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Whether Paul visits in person or hears reports of our lives, he wants to know we stand firm in one Spirit. We are called to strive together for the faith of the gospel without fear of opposition. Our steadfastness shows that those who oppose us will be undone while we will be saved by God. Believing in Christ is a gift, and so is the opportunity to suffer for Him. We share in the same struggles Paul experienced, and we are strengthened by knowing he continues to face them as well.
