Udo Ga Chi Operatives Attack Kegites Members at Anambra Hotel
Operatives of Governor Soludo’s Udo Ga Chi security allegedly stormed a hotel in Awka, Anambra State, disrupting a meeting of Kegites members. The security team smashed furniture and destroyed equipment inside the venue. Several Kegites members were beaten and left injured as they fled for their lives. Witnesses report that the attackers wore official Udo Ga Chi uniforms but gave no explanation for the assault. The Kegites is a respected socio-cultural society known for its folk songs, dance and traditional ceremonies. Community leaders are calling for an investigation into the violence.
