Trabzonspor Reject Saudi Bid to Keep Onuachu

Trabzonspor Reject Saudi Bid to Keep Onuachu

Trabzonspor have turned down interest from Saudi Arabian clubs for Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu. The 31-year-old joined the Turkish side last summer from Southampton for around €5.6 million. He has since scored 23 goals and provided two assists in 27 matches across all competitions. Al Ahli were reportedly ready to quadruple his salary, but Onuachu has formed a strong bond with the Black Sea Storm and prefers to stay. His contract runs until 2028, with an option to extend by another year.

I totally agree, they must value Onuachu's form and team chemistry over quick cash.

Turning down Saudi bids after a 23-goal season sounds risky financially, especially if he keeps scoring at that pace.

Maybe fans should trust the club's long-term plan instead of always pushing for lucrative exits after every hot streak.

If Onuachu stays, the club might need to reinforce their midfield to supply him with chances next season.
