Dangote Warns Middle East Conflict Could Hit Nigeria’s Economy

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, has cautioned that the ongoing war in the Middle East may drive up costs in Nigeria and other African countries. He spoke on Monday in Lagos after paying Eid-el-Fitr homage to President Bola Tinubu. He warned of higher fuel prices, increased transport costs, and inflationary pressures if tensions persist. He urged a swift de-escalation to avoid widespread hardship, stressing that prolonged volatility could impose a heavy price on already strained economies.
