Olisa Ndah Stars in Stellenbosch’s 2-1 Win Over Chippa United

Olisa Ndah Stars in Stellenbosch’s 2-1 Win Over Chippa United — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Olisa Ndah finally made his Stellenbosch FC debut on Saturday, helping the Maroons to a 2-1 victory against Chippa United. Deployed in defensive midfield, the Nigerian international completed 100% of his tackles and clearances across 84 minutes on the pitch. He was withdrawn late in the game for Wonderboy Makhubu, who was later sent off in a tense finish. Ndah joined Stellenbosch on a free transfer last month, but bureaucratic work permit delays held up his first appearance. The win moved Stellenbosch up to eighth place on the league table with 28 points.

Did Olisa Ndah's defensive masterclass on debut change your view of Stellenbosch's midfield depth this season?

That showing was eye-opening! I'm now convinced their midfield is tougher than I thought.

I'm not convinced one solid defensive outing alters my take on their midfield options this year.

Completing 100% of tackles and clearances in 84 minutes sounds impressive, but numbers don't always reflect real match impact.

Na good debut, but wetin matter pass be consistency over full season, not just one standout performance.

Coaches should analyse Ndah's positioning patterns and tackle timing to improve midfield stability across more challenging fixtures.
