Sanwo-Olu Swears in Seven Permanent Secretaries, Demands Measurable Results

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu this week swore in seven new Permanent Secretaries at the State House in Alausa. He charged them to deliver measurable results and uphold high standards across all ministries. The ceremony also included the inauguration of the Lagos State Health Service Commission to strengthen healthcare delivery through merit-driven recruitment. The governor warned that a Permanent Secretary’s role is critical for turning policy into action. Sanwo-Olu urged appointees to fully embrace his THEMES+ agenda, stressing that discipline, efficiency and integrity are essential in a state competing with sovereign economies. Head of Service Olabode Agoro said these selections reflect Lagos’ commitment to competence and accountability. The new Permanent Secretaries have been deployed to lead key sectors including urban development, health, innovation, works and public defence as Lagos intensifies efforts to improve service delivery.
