APGA Reps Aspirant Reports Assassination Attempt, Two Policemen Wounded in Idemili

An APGA federal constituency aspirant in Anambra state has alleged an attempt on his life and reported that two of the four policemen assigned to his stakeholders’ meeting were shot by a local security unit. Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezim said armed operatives sent by the Idemili-North council chairman disrupted his meeting at Nkwo Agbaja Civic Centre. He immediately alerted the state governor, police commissioner and SSS director, and two wounded officers were taken for surgery. In a statement, Ibezim condemned the violence as an assault on democracy and vowed to pursue legal action against the sponsors and perpetrators. He confirmed the meeting will continue at a new venue and called for respect of the rule of law.
