Adamawa Court Remands Man Over Alleged Knifepoint Robbery of 9-Year-Old

A Chief Magistrate Court in Yola, Adamawa State, has remanded a 22-year-old man, Habu Hellere Dauda, over the alleged robbery of a nine-year-old boy at knifepoint. Police said Dauda allegedly attacked Aliyu Mohammed on Ajiya Street in Jimeta and took ₦600 from him. He was arraigned on charges of criminal intimidation and alleged shilla gangsterism. After the charges were interpreted to him, Dauda reportedly pleaded guilty. The court remanded him in custody and adjourned the case until August 17 for a witness to corroborate the plea and for a possible summary trial.
