Why You Can’t Borrow Another’s Wisdom—Seek God Directly
Someone recently asked me for my “personal wisdom,” but I believe true wisdom comes directly from God, not from another person. God often warns us whom to trust, and wisdom that worked for one person won’t necessarily work for another. I still feel I’m far from wise. That’s why I pray constantly, read the Bible, and listen for God’s voice for myself. I’m not sure I qualify to teach others, because each of us needs a personal encounter with Jesus. As the Bible says, if we lack wisdom we should ask God, who gives generously without finding fault (James 1:5). And when we ask, seek, and knock in faith, we will receive, find, and have doors opened (Matthew 7:8).
