Achalla Youth President Launches Plan to Revive Farming and Curb Drug Abuse

Achalla Youth President Launches Plan to Revive Farming and Curb Drug Abuse

The newly inaugurated President of the Achalla Youth Wing announced a community drive to restore agriculture and tackle drug abuse among young people. Speaking at the Anambra State Town Unions Council Secretariat, he said modern cooperative farming will create jobs and bring back the community’s farming heritage. He plans to organise youths into village-based groups and equip them with mechanised tools. He warned that idleness fuels crime and substance misuse, stressing that “an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” He also pledged to partner with existing youth initiatives and state leaders to ensure wider impact. The youth leader expressed confidence that his programmes will restore discipline, unity and pride in Achalla’s eight villages.
