Delta Court Jails Four Pipeline Vandals for One Year
A Federal High Court in Asaba convicted and sentenced four men to one year in prison for vandalising oil pipelines in Delta State. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps investigated Sylvania Elvis, Peter Ojichini, Bala Adey and Joel Emmanuel on charges of conspiracy and pipeline tampering. Justice F.A. Olubanjo handed down the sentences under the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015, treating them as first-time offenders. The NSCDC warned that criminal activities carry serious consequences and urged residents to embrace legitimate empowerment opportunities. The corps reaffirmed its commitment to protecting critical infrastructure and the people of Delta.
