First-Time Move to Oman: Is 110 OMR Sponsorship Visa Worth It?
I’m a 33-year-old warehouse storekeeper and bodybuilder planning my first move to Oman. I’ve received a sponsorship visa for a loader/unloader role in Salalah. The package offers a basic salary of 110 OMR plus overtime, with free housing, meals, and medical care. I’m also exploring a freelance visa but don’t want to risk getting stranded. As a newcomer, I’m weighing which option will give me a stable start. Is 110 OMR (all expenses covered) enough to save and send money home to Nigeria? How easy is it to switch employers once I arrive? I’d love to hear real experiences from anyone in Muscat or Salalah. Thanks and God bless!
