NDLEA Warns Parents as Cannabis-Infused Cookies and Gummies Are Seized
The NDLEA has warned parents and guardians to be alert to cannabis-infused cookies and gummies packaged to look like ordinary snacks. The warning followed the seizure of two 40-foot containers of cannabis products concealed among imported vehicles, generators, batteries and fabrics. The consignment included Delta-8 pre-rolls, gummies and cookies with an estimated street value of about ₦373.8 million. Officials said the products were imported from the United States and used colourful packaging, fruit flavours and vegan labels that could appeal to children and young people. The agency urged families to check unfamiliar snack products carefully and keep suspicious items away from minors.
