Tuchel Commits to England Role Through Euro 2028 After Argentina Semi-Final Loss
Thomas Tuchel insists he will remain as England manager despite the 2-1 semi-final defeat to Argentina at the 2026 World Cup. England took the lead through Anthony Gordon, but Enzo Fernández and Lautaro Martínez struck late to seal a comeback for the defending champions. Appointed in January 2025, Tuchel extended his contract earlier this year to run through the home Euros in 2028. When asked if he would stay on after this tournament, he said: “We keep on going with the contract until the home Euros. I’m looking forward to that even though right now it’s difficult to look that far ahead.”
