Critic Says Soludo Missed Opportunity to Market Anambra at Delta Investment Summit
I believe Governor Charles Soludo missed an opportunity to promote Anambra State at the Delta State Investment Summit in Asaba. Rather than highlighting investment opportunities, I felt his remarks focused largely on his administration's record, including not borrowing, withdrawing from a World Bank loan, wearing made-in-Nigeria clothing and ending the sit-at-home order. In my view, the governor could have used the platform to discuss projects such as the proposed Anambra Mixed Industrial City and other opportunities available to investors. I also think the investment presentations by the governors of Abia and Imo at the Lagos State Investment Summit offered useful examples of how states can pitch themselves to potential investors. I have previously urged Governor Soludo to focus less on headlines and more on development. This summit, in my opinion, was another missed chance to market Anambra to investors.
