Missing Jos Man Found Dead in Plateau State Hospital Mortuary
The body of Mr. Ebubechukwu Ihionu, who was reported missing in Jos on April 1, has been recovered at the mortuary of Plateau State Specialist Hospital. His disappearance coincided with unrest in Jos North following a Palm Sunday attack at Angwan Rukuba. According to a social media update by Danja Dafwam Yaks, Ihionu’s remains were discovered on Thursday, April 2. The violence began around 9:30 a.m. in the Nasarawa area and quickly spread to Katako Junction, Farin Gada, Gada Biu, Angwan Rogo, Rikos, and nearby communities. Security forces from Headquarters 3 Division Nigerian Army, Operation Enduring Peace, and other agencies were deployed swiftly. Their coordinated effort helped contain the disturbances before they escalated into wider communal clashes.
