The Anambra State Sports Development Commission joined the Olympic Solidarity/Nigeria Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Seminar in Edo State. The three-day event ran from June 22 to 25 under the theme “Fueling the Female Champion: Understanding the Female Athlete Triad and RED-S in Adolescent Athletes.” Chief Nurse Ngozi Nwegwu and Favour Nnagbo represented the commission. Over 90 facilitators and participants took part both on-site and online. They came from sports medicine, physiotherapy, nutrition, psychology, coaching, anti-doping and sports administration across several states. The commission praised Governor Soludo and the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development for their support. The seminar concluded with a renewed pledge to promote safer, healthier and more empowering environments for female athletes nationwide.
