Oshiomhole Hails Atiku’s Attacks on Obi as APC’s Best Campaign Strategy
Adams Oshiomhole says divisions among opposition leaders will help the APC retain power in the 2027 elections. Speaking on a Channels Television politics programme, the former Edo State governor claimed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has become the APC’s best campaign manager by attacking fellow opposition figure Peter Obi. He added that Obi and Rotimi Amaechi are also criticising each other, a dynamic he believes benefits the ruling party. Oshiomhole challenged opposition leaders to outline which of President Tinubu’s policies they would reverse if elected. He praised Tinubu’s bold economic reforms and accused the opposition of uniting only for political power. He noted that initial plans for an African Democratic Congress coalition fell apart as key figures moved to other parties. Meanwhile, the APC has waived screening for President Tinubu ahead of its 2027 primaries.
