Belgium dominated possession but failed to break down Egypt’s organised defence until Mohamed Hany’s own goal leveled the score in the 66th minute. Mostafa Shobeir made key saves to preserve the draw. Both teams now share one point in Group G. Egypt face New Zealand next in Vancouver on June 21 before taking on Iran. Belgium meet Iran before wrapping up their group stage against New Zealand.
