Tinubu Inaugurates New Staff Quarters at Nigerian Law School, Vows Further Court Upgrades
President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated 10 four-bedroom staff quarters at the Nigerian Law School in Bwari, Abuja, stressing that a world-class legal system cannot thrive on dilapidated infrastructure. Represented by the Secretary to the Government, Senator George Akume, he revealed plans to complete the Abuja division of the Court of Appeal, construct magistrate courts across the FCT, and build secure residential quarters for judges. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike announced presidential approval for 20 additional housing units and new hostels for male and female students, directing that all contractor payments be finalized this month for year-end completion. The Minister of State and the Law School’s Director-General described the project as a strategic investment in legal education, noting upcoming additions such as a dedicated auditorium and full digitisation of academic operations.
