When Protestantism Joins Papal Power Against Religious Liberty

When Protestantism Joins Papal Power Against Religious Liberty

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings…These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” (Revelation 17:12–13) As we approach the last crisis, true harmony must exist among the Lord’s instrumentalities. Yet a powerful alliance will form under papal authority. This confederacy will unite all apostate powers against freedom of worship and God’s witnesses. Through errors like soul immortality and Sunday sacredness, Satan will deceive many. A threefold union of spiritualism, Protestantism, and Papal power will pressure consciences and threaten the Sabbath of creation. Let us pray: Our Father in heaven, thank You for Your warning message. Keep us faithful through the coming trial. Supply our needs by Your riches in glory. Strengthen us in health and spirit so we may testify of Your goodness. Hear our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King. Amen. Adapted from Maranatha, page 187.

This alliance seems more political than spiritual, missing the true essence of religious liberty promised by prophetic harmony.

I'm not convinced that joining power really advances faith; unity under a beastly coalition feels contradictory to prophecy.

Perhaps we should focus on nurturing local fellowship and personal conviction instead of relying on centralized alliances that risk compromising core beliefs.
