Imo Governor Sanctions ₦25bn for Judges’ Quarters, Funds JAMB CBT Centres
Governor Hope Uzodimma has approved ₦25 billion to build 40 standard duplex quarters with recreational facilities for judges in Imo State. The State Executive Council also cleared ₦1.9 billion for four JAMB computer-based test centres in the Orlu educational zone. An initial ₦900 million will be released immediately to kick-start pilot centres at Bishop Shanahan Secondary School and Community Secondary School, Omuma. Council members approved the establishment of Imo Signage Asset Management Limited to regulate and deploy smart digital billboards through a public-private partnership at no cost to the state government. During the meeting, Chief Longers Anyanwu was sworn in as the new Commissioner for Agriculture, and the council directed urgent measures to curb erosion across the state.
