Osimhen Scores in Galatasaray’s 2-1 Pre-Season Defeat to Villarreal

Victor Osimhen scored again for Galatasaray, but the Turkish champions lost 2-1 to Villarreal in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday. Ayoze Perez converted a third-minute penalty for Villarreal before Osimhen equalised two minutes later. Georges Mikautadze scored shortly before half-time to restore Villarreal’s lead and secure the win. Galatasaray ended their pre-season with one win, three defeats and a draw. They will begin their competitive campaign against newly promoted Corum FK in the Turkish Super Lig next Friday. Osimhen scored 15 goals and registered five assists in 22 league matches as Galatasaray won the Turkish Super Lig last season.
