DSS and Forest Guards Rescue Siblings Kidnapped in Kwara Forest

A joint security team from the Department of State Services and forest guards recovered two kidnapped children in a forest on the border between Isin and Ifelodun local government areas of Kwara State. Sixteen-year-old Fatima Azeez and her five-year-old brother Ibrahim were freed after operatives neutralised two armed kidnappers. Other suspects escaped with serious injuries as the operation continued. Authorities also recovered an AK-47 rifle, a single-barrel gun with ammunition, nine empty magazines, a mini solar charger, and food supplies. This rescue is part of the government’s ongoing multi-agency counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping campaign.
