Super Eagles Eye Win Over Poland as Bassey Strengthens Defence
Head coach Eric Chelle has welcomed Calvin Bassey to Super Eagles camp ahead of Wednesday’s international friendly against Poland. Bassey’s arrival in Warsaw brings the squad to 20 players and gives Chelle more defensive options alongside Semi Ajayi, Igoh Ogbu and Emmanuel Fernandez. Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Arthur Okonkwo have already shown promising form in training. In midfield, Wilfred Ndidi leads a talented group that includes Frank Onyeka, Raphael Onyedika and rising star Abdullahi Bewene. Upfront, Moses Simon, Terem Moffi and Paul Onuachu will spearhead the attack. The match kicks off at 7.45pm Nigerian time at Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy Stadium. With a balanced squad and winning mentality, the Super Eagles are determined to secure victory against the White-Reds.
