Kaduna Vigilance Service Arrests Seven Suspected Bandits Along Ikara-Zuntu Route
Operatives of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service carried out a pre-dawn ambush at about 2:12 a.m. on June 30, 2026, in Kubau Local Government Area. Led by Sector Coordinator Abubakar Shuaibu, they intercepted a Golf 3 conveying seven men suspected of armed banditry along the notorious Ikara-Zuntu corridor. A search of the vehicle recovered a locally made gun, N350,750 in cash, six mobile phones, charms, iron rods and other incriminating items. The suspects—who gave addresses in Ikara, Zuntu, Kargi and Anchau—have been handed over, with all exhibits, to the Kaduna State Anti-Kidnapping Unit, CID Kaduna, for further investigation. In a related operation, a man from Kano State was arrested for allegedly stealing metal materials from a mining company in Kubau LGA. These actions underscore KADVS’ ongoing support for security agencies in safeguarding lives and property across Kaduna State.
