Super Eagles Winger Yira Sor Joins Amedspor From Genk

Nigeria international Yira Sor has joined newly promoted Turkish Süper Lig side Amedspor from Belgian club Genk. The 26-year-old winger made 28 league appearances for Genk last season, scoring four goals and registering one assist. He began his career at Family Love Academy in Port Harcourt and later played for 36 Lion in Lagos before moving to Europe. Sor previously featured for Baník Ostrava and Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic. He also represented Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup and made his Super Eagles debut in a March 2026 friendly against Jordan. He joins fellow Nigerians including Gift Orban at Amedspor as the club prepares for its first-ever Süper Lig campaign.
