Man Accused of Motorcycle Theft Burnt to Death by Mob at Jigawa Hospital

A man accused of attempting to steal motorcycles was reportedly beaten and set ablaze by a mob at the gate of the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kudu, Jigawa State. Witnesses said two suspects were allegedly caught at the hospital premises on Monday, July 27, 2026. One reportedly escaped, while the other was apprehended and beaten before being taken to the emergency unit for treatment. The injured suspect allegedly tried to flee from the ward but was intercepted by youths, who attacked him again and set him ablaze. Police had not issued an official statement at the time of the report.
