Femi Azeez Declares for Super Eagles, Boosts Nigeria’s Attack

Femi Azeez has pledged his international career to Nigeria. Born in England to a Nigerian father and Spanish mother, the 24-year-old was eligible for England, Spain and Nigeria. The Nigeria Football Federation has opened talks with Azeez and his representatives. With no youth caps for England or Spain, he can join the Super Eagles without FIFA clearance and could be named in the squad for May’s Unity Cup. A former Reading star, Azeez has been one of the standout performers in the Championship this season. He has scored nine goals, provided eight assists in 34 appearances for Millwall, and earned a place in the league’s Team of the Season.

Absolutely! His lightning pace and direct running should keep defenders on their toes all season.

He might have pace, but has he shown consistent performance at this level yet?

He's yet to earn any youth caps, so his international readiness in big matches is still unproven.

I no sure say he fit take over Nigeria's attack immediately, plenty talented strikers already dey vie for spots.

The federation should integrate Azeez gradually, giving him minutes in friendlies before relying on him in crucial qualifiers.
