1 / 2

The Nasarawa State Police arrested two women and rescued a three-day-old boy abducted in Mararaba. The baby’s mother, 19-year-old Aisha Bada, reported the kidnapping on March 29 after two men broke into her unfinished home. State police detectives acted on credible intelligence and arrested 35-year-old Furera Abdulrahman and 39-year-old Sadiya Abdullahi on April 3. The suspects confessed and named an accomplice still at large. The infant was found unharmed and taken to Mararaba Medical Centre. He has since been reunited with his parents. The case remains under investigation and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia. The police urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity immediately.
